This week’s quote comes from a LinkedIn Daily Rundown that promoted an article by Jon Acuff that reminds us, the only way we guarantee our thoughts/ ideas fail is if we don’t put them out there.
I often tell clients this, you can put out an idea and then tweak it. Without getting something out there and collecting data on it, how will you ever know what will be successful?
My personal example of this is a product that I helped a client build and implement about a year ago. I did not think any would use it, because it was not something that I would have used. It was not something that any data said would be successful. Fast forward 8 months — that product has received a ton of recognition and I’m fielding multiple requests to create similar products for other organizations.
The hurdle we often need to get past is the fear of failure. When I write a post or a screenplay, I write it for myself. I put it out there because I believe it’s important or worthwhile. I
