“Are you ready? Yes or yes?”

This week’s quote comes from Ally Love, the Peloton instructor whose ride I did last night. When my wife bought a Peloton for our house, I wanted to hate it so much. I was determined to get maximum usage from the bike since ‘we’ had bought it and now I hate that I love it.

“It’s not a First Mover, it’s a Second Shaker”

This week’s quote comes from Snacks Daily, a podcast I listen to from Robinhood Financial, LLC. It was used in a story about Apple’s iCar, but stuck with me as something that I think is relevant to everyone. Are you the first to market or are you the best to market? I’ve been on both

“Don’t be scared to put yourself and your work out. You can never grow, be seen, or discovered if you don’t put yourself and your work into the world!”

I’m not sure of the origin of this quote but saw it on Jakob Owens’ Instagram account. As you may know, I love videography and film and have enjoyed watching Jakob’s journey on IG. Although we’ve never met, I’m inspired by his content and commitment to his craft. I’d recommend following his account if you’re

“We can do hard things.”

My wife’s a second-grade teacher and has been teaching her class from our TV room. As part of setting up her ‘classroom’ at the start of COVID-19, she posted this quote on the wall behind her. I’ve seen some screencaps of her teaching and having this quote over her right shoulder is a great reminder

“Most teams confuse having a plan for having a strategy.”

This week’s quote comes from the article “7 Deadly Sins of Startup SEO Content Marketing” on notion.so. It’s a true statement that I see with a lot of clients. The issue with this is the plan then gets in the way of the strategy. Teams often become so focused on creating 2 blogs a week

“Logic makes people think. Emotion makes people act.”

This week’s quote is not a new one. It’s from Liz Wendling. I bring it up now as I prep for presentation with a potential client. As part of the presentation, I plan on discussing what drives people to make most decisions and how adding touchpoints in the process can help sway them to act
