“It’s time to rediscover the joy that comes with knowledge of the world, and your unique place in it.”

This week’s quote comes from yet again a LinkedIn daily rundown. It’s a quote from an article by Mark Little (a journalist and co-founder of Kinzen).

As I stood in line Tuesday to vote I had plenty of time to make friends with other American’s who took time out of their day to participate in democracy. Reading this quote on Monday stuck with me as I waited in line with thousands of other people around the country to vote. I left the polls feeling inspired not just because I voted and tons of other people voted, but because my ballot was filled out with informed decisions. I did not vote all D or all R. I voted for candidates that I connected with, that I felt could make a difference.

I said to my wife before voting, “The only thing worse than not voting is voting as an uninformed voter.” From the people I talked to standing in line to the people who attended our local candidate meet and greets, I would say the people at my polling place was not just informed but also inspired to vote for individuals they felt could help move our community forward. Mark’s quote rings true, especially this time of year.
