“Maybe they’re just too busy. Maybe they don’t forget about you, but they forget to remember you. People don’t mean to forget. My grandfather says if my head wasn’t screwed on, I’d leave it on the school bus.”

This week’s quote comes from Kevin McCallister in “Home Alone 2: Lost in New York.” I thought it was only fitting to use a quote from a holiday movie with this post. I lived in NYC for a few years and love the city. I find it inspiring and exciting. Being there drove me to be better and now visiting rejuvenates me. “Home Alone 2: Lost in New York” embodies all of the emotions and feels that I have about the city, which is why it is part of my holiday tradition.

This quote stands on its own, so I’m not going to say much about it. When it comes to the holidays, I think it is a fitting and inspiring quote that stands the test of time. People don’t mean to forget, but we all forget things. That’s why we love lists. I really believe people are good at their core, sometimes humanity just forgets that we’re all human.

I want to thank everyone who reads my blog. I wish all of you a happy holiday season and look forward to continuing our digital relationship.  Thank you and happy holidays.
