Since the blog’s about digital strategy, I’ll ignore the extensions that I kept and use for life. With that in mind, here are the top 5 (in no particular order) Google Chrome extensions that I use for digital strategy and marketing:
Tag Assistant
It should come as no surprise that this extension by Google is on my list. It allows me to troubleshoot Google tags on different digital properties quickly. The extension shows what tags are on pages. Basically, it makes QA for Google Analytics super efficient.

SEO META in 1 CLICK
I’ve used this extension for a long time to get a quick glimpse of a digital property’s basic SEO information. This extension scans pages and shows the meta information available. This includes alt tags, h-tags, meta descriptions, etc. If you’re not sure where to start or are trying to take SEO inventory of select content, this is a great tool that’s easy to use. BuiltWith Technology Profiler
There are lots of extensions that provide information about the technology used to power different digital properties. I’ve used this one for a long time and haven’t found anything better.

Grammarly
It’s a heavily commercialized product that helps with writing and claims to “Enhance your written communication everywhere you type!” I was skeptical at first, but having installed it in early 2018 I quickly learned to love it. After staring at the screen for hours at a time mistakes can happen. Grammarly helps catch them.

Google PageSpeed Insights API Extension
This is another tool from Google that shows valuable information about digital content. It shows real-time speed reports and is a great tool that provides a quick test when having conversations about performance.

The extensions I mentioned above is not a comprehensive list of extensions that I use, but a list of the ones that I find most useful when having conversations with people about digital strategy and marketing. They allow me to be more efficient and effective in meetings because they remove the need to jump between tabs/browsers/etc. and they help make complex topics approachable to everyone.
