“One day, or day one. You decide.”

This week’s quote comes from a post I saw on LinkedIn from ELO Branding. Maybe it was just the dark blue background and bold white text that made this quote out to me as I scrolled through my feed. Maybe it found me at the right time as I was looking for inspiration. This quote

“Companies make things. Brands make meaning.”

One of my old colleagues just started a new gig at Padilla. He posted a photo to Instagram of his desk, but the quote on the screen of his laptop caught my eye. I found it on the Joe Smith website. The quote stood out to me for a few reasons. I’ve heard different variations

“Good artists copy; great artists steal”

I recently got an automated email from Adbeat that featured this quote. You’ve probably heard it before it comes from Picasso and was actually made famous by Steve Jobs in 1996. The quote stuck with me, while the email quickly made it’s way to my trash, for a few reasons. My first digital job I

“It’s not what you got, but what you do with what you got.”

This week’s quote comes from last night’s episode of Hardball with Chris Matthews. It actually comes from Disney, but was quoted in last night’s episode of Hardball. It stuck with me after I heard it for a few reasons, but mostly because I’ve been soulsearching recently. Taking stock in what I have and what I’m

“A problem shared is a problem solved.”

This week’s quote comes from Kate Carnell’s post on LinkedIn. It’s one that stands out to me for a variety of reasons. It speaks to a collective body even outside of this post. “You never know where your idea is going to go, but you’ve got a guarantee that it won’t go anywhere unless you share it. Put it out there. Sing the song. Write the book. Start the business. There’s a whole world waiting for your idea.”

This week’s quote comes from a LinkedIn Daily Rundown that promoted an article by Jon Acuff that reminds us, the only way we guarantee our thoughts/ ideas fail is if we don’t put them out there. I often tell clients this, you can put out an idea and then tweak it. Without getting something out

“It’s not even about winning, or being ‘the best’ … It’s about the ability to set your mind on the most optimized internal-posture for you to be your best.”

This week’s quote comes from an article by Michael Gervais about how to become a high performer. The article talks about how mindset is imperative to performing at a high level. This makes a lot of sense and is something that I believe to be true. We’re all different. We all respond differently to situations.
